Grey's Anatomy Season 6 just aired!

Did you watch the 1st episode this sixth season? Oh well, you should! It's really heart breaking to think that O'Malley won't be back again on the series yet the characters have played very well with 6th season's pilot episode. I can't wait for the next episodes to come.

I have really cried several times with this episode. lol

I loved it! Can't wait for the rest of the season! I'm going to miss George. He was my second favorite character behind Bailey. I felt so sorry for her. She named her child after him. I cried everytime I saw her face. Izzie too. She lost her best friend and Alex was so mean to her. I'm so ready for next week to get here!

Free Insurance from Philam Life

My mom got a call from Philam Life Insurance last week, telling her that she was chosen to be a recipient of a Free Accident Insurance. She was puzzled as to how was she chosen when she don’t even have a plan from them. The name of the agent is Roderick and his number is 0905 518 6066 and she was told that she was referred but when I asked who, he actually don’t know.

Earlier, my mom asked me to accompany her at their office though I’m not really convinced because who would give something free to anyone who did not spend any penny on? The agent told my mom that she need not worry because she won’t be paying for anything. All I have to do is o to their office immediately to claim the certificate and activate it.

I always believe that nothing now is given to you for free so I was really skeptical of going. I had to immediately research about it to seek for information. I have searched through blogs and I found helpful information from here, here and a little disturbing post from yahoo.I told my mom and decided not to go and ‘activate’ the said free insurance. Because I’m afraid that my mom, might not have the strength to say NO to the offers that the agent will present to her to claim it.

I know for a fact that their convincing prowess is extraordinary! I heard they’ll really convince you to buy the insurance and the catch is you won’t be able to get the P25,000 insurance if you don’t buy a plan. Okay! I so get it! It’s a Marketing Strategy. It’s legit though but maybe some agents just go way overboard in trying to lure prospect clients.

That guy had actually been texting my mom to ask for her Bank id and other sensitive information.
My point here is, before you dive into special or free offers you receive over the phone, text or even personally, you weigh things first before accepting. Always think that in anything offered for free, there’s always a catch. Be firm to say NO specially if it involves money and your personal information and much more your credit card! Don’t give out your credit card number that easy.

iSupport NoyNoy for President on 2010

On what I have observed from the media, it pretty looks like Filipino people do really want some change. We should all be one for diversity, we should aim for freedom, the goal that has been reached several years ago after the end of tyrant's dictatorship.

I will truly support Noynoy Aquino for President on 2010. Even if I have read some negative vibes about him not ripe in handling the presidency, my say is that as long as he has clear conscience and love and affection for the Filipinos, then he will be the pretty good right choice for the election race on 2010. What's your say about this?

Noynoy Aquino for President

I think it’s high time we examine NoyNoy Aquino as a man purely on what he has made out of his life, and not based on the greatness of his parents. If people look at him from this point of view, I think they’d be better informed on whether he really is fit for the presidency.

There is no doubt that Ninoy and Cory Aquino belong to the pantheon of great Filipinos. Greatness however is not inherited. It is something you make for yourself. Ninoy’s parents weren’t great. And Cory’s parents were simple folks. But Ninoy and Cory grew up to be great persons. It would be ignorant and foolish to assume that just because they are great, Noynoy would be great too. Mahatma Gandhi became an Indian hero and a world icon for humanity. He had four sons. But the world doesn’t really know what those sons did with their lives – because they did not inherit their father’s greatness. John Lennon is a humanitarian and a musical genius. But his son, Julian, did not inherit his humanity and compassion nor his gift for songwriting. Dodot Jaworski did not inherit his father, Bobby Jaworski’s shooting and passing skills in basketball. Kris Aquino is Cory’s very own flesh and blood. But while Cory exudes dignity and class, Kris at times is crass and pedestrian. You either have greatness or you don’t. Ballsy, Cory and Ninoy’s eldest, at least inherited her parents dignified demeanor.

Now back to Noynoy Aquino. He has a degree of Economics from Ateneo De Manila University. It’s a great school known for its graduates who went on to become great people. But Noynoy was not one of its great students. He wasn’t even a student leader in his time. Noynoy went on to sales and marketing for two great companies: Nike Philippines and Mondragon Int’l. Sales and marketing, and for that you went to Ateneo? Those were the only jobs he held that he got based on his resume and not based on his parent’s name. Because after those jobs, he went on to work for his uncle’s company and eventually their family’s sugar company at Hacienda Luisita. Even in private life, he used his family connections to earn a living.

He served three terms in Congress representing Tarlac, his family’s district and for which he had great chances of winning because it is Aquino/Cojuangco country after all. People would be surprised to know that at one point he was Deputy Speaker, because he was barely visible, he barely talked and he barely sponsored bills. In effect, he was a forgettable congressman. He is now a Senator of the Republic to which he owes greatly to his own sister, Kris, and his mother Cory, who both used their popularity during the elections to campaign for a forgettable brother and son.

The presidency is the highest position in the country. It is not meant for people who are still on the OJT stage (on-the-job training). It is a position meant for great people. This country can only achieve greatness if we put great people on the steering wheel. To pass the mantle of greatness from Ninoy and Cory to a son who has so far haven’t done anything great in his life would demean and cheapen the legacies that Ninoy and Cory left behind. Cory did not survive 9 coup attempts, and Ninoy did not breathe his last breath on a dirty airport tarmac for it to be used as their forgettable son’s publicity tool for his presidential ambition.

This country is not that HOPELESS to settle for MEDIOCRITY

Fears In Life

What are your greatest fears in life??
Are you afraid of being successful as a person??
Are you concerned about your popularity??
If your in school ... are you well liked?? popular?? a geek?? a nerd?
or best one yet ..... the biggest flirt?

For me, I am afraid that I will never find a job that I am happy enough with, that give benefits. Popularity was a thing I wanted in High school, however I have now been happy with who I have become with all the personal changes in my morals I have gone though. I am in College, I don't start until another week and a half. I am more to myself then anything. I am engaged and I don't like to flaunt anything. Modesty is the best policy.

Best Torrent Sites

Do you use torrents? If so, what’s your fave torrent site? I do use them since 2003 or 2004. The first software that I used to download torrents is BitComet. Recently though, I have been using Limewire Pro because even if it’s not that fast as BitComet is, the interface is so cool and I can even use it for downloading audio files while downloading torrents.

So which torrent sites do you go for? I use some of these quality torrent sites:

- Demonoid

- BT Junkie

Globe Visibility works at AUFMC!

For the first time as a myglobe visibility owner, I was able to use it freely with no hassle. I am now located in Angeles University Foundation Medical Clinic while I was baby sitting my sick daughter and I have proven that it works pretty well here at this site.

I bought this tiny gadget last March and I have tried to use it in our condo in Makati but it really didn't turn out well. So based from my own experience, if you live nearby Makati, I think that SUN broadband works perfectly well though I am not sure if they are offering prepaid services yet. However, I haven't tried SMART Broadband back in Makati yet but my neighbor told me that the connection is pretty reliable as well.

However, if you are living in Angeles City Pampanga, I suggest that you go for Globe Visibility Prepaid. It totally works for me!

Good luck everyone!

Information worth to share

I have received mail from my boyfriend's mum and was telling that I should be careful when buying sodas in can and other canned goods. Here's the story behind that tho:

A stock clerk was sent to clean up a storeroom in Maui, Hawaii.
When he got back, he was complaining that the storeroom was really filthy and that he had noticed dried mouse/rat droppings in some areas.
A couple of days later, he started to feel like he was coming down with a stomach flu, complained of sore joints and headaches, and began to vomit.

He went to bed and never really got up again. Within two days he was severely ill and weak. His blood sugar count was down to 66, and his face and eyeballs were yellow. He was rushed to the emergency at Pali-Momi, where he was diagnosed to be suffering from massive organ failure.

He died shortly before midnight .
No one would have made the connection between his job and his death, had it not been for a doctor who specifically asked if he had been in a warehouse or exposed to dried rat/mouse dropping s at any time... They said there is a virus (much like the Hanta virus) that lives in dried rat and mouse droppings.

An autopsy was performed on the clerk to verify the doctor's suspicions.

The ugly truth is, even the most modern, upper-class, super store has rats and mice. And their warehouse most assuredly does.

So whenever you buy any canned soft drink, please make sure that you wash the top with running water and soap or, if that is not available, drink with a straw.

The investigation of soda cans by the Center for Disease Control in Atlanta discovered that the tops of soda cans can be encrusted with dried rat's urine, which is so toxic it can be lethal. Canned drinks and other foodstuffs are stored in warehouses and containers that are usually infested with rodents, and then they get transported to retail outlets without being properly cleaned.

BPinoy Card

Have you availed the BPinoy card from BPI? Oh well, my brother just had it a week before his flight. BPI promised that the account holder can use it anywhere and they have clearly stated that it’s a card that has zero maintaining balance feature. Being a newbie with BPinoy, my brother had still insists to deposit Php 1,000 before his flight.

But the problem arises here, we are all aware that there’s cash limit that you can just bring if you’re going out of country. So my brother had just bought P10,000 when he left for Malaysia. After a week of stay in Malaysia, he asks us to deposit some amount with his BPinoy card. I’m so ready to go to the bank tomorrow to deposit at the bank so he can just withdraw it anywhere(affliated bank) in Malaysia.

However, I’m still doubtful on what would be the charges if he use his BPinoy card there. So what he did is he tried to withdraw Rm 50 yesterday and the next day which is today, he was pretty shocked when his balance turned to be Php-0.35

So do you think that BPinoy card had just made some false calculations with this? or they do really charge up to Rm 23 for a Rm50 withdrawal?

Are you a regular user of Twitter and Facebook? Have you experienced such downtimes from those sites? Oh well, I just read from an article on CNET that the suspected hacker is coming from Russia. It has the id/username cyxymu

I think that it's nearly impossible to catch or to determine exactly who was responsible for doing such hacks.

Wondergirls

I wonder on how do the Wondergilrs grasp their fame. I can hear them everywhere, my daughter is even doing the dance step. I'm so much entertained as well even if I can't understand the half lyrics of the song.

Their famous NOBODY has been a phenomena in the United States, Canada and in the Philippines. I first heard this song when I was in the US and I just found it out when the local TV show had performed it.

Even if they aren't actually Filipinos, I'm proud of them for being Asian. Asian rocks!

For Official Use Only

Truly it is irritating every time I spot a red plate cars at malls parking lot, schools, motels, etc. As most Filipinos are aware of, I believe that we understand that those government cars should always follow the so-called rule "For Official Use Only".

Early today though, I tried to find some info online on how can we seize or lessen at least this such abuse. I found out this site PIA Information Services and have tried to contact them as well. But of course, what would we expect from their service? I just want to share that when I tried to send them mail, I got a dispatch error that refrains me from sending mails to them.

Oh well, you might just wanna check this photo below: A Toyota Innova E series is picking up some pre-school students on a reputable school in Central Luzon.
